It’s the 3rd day of 2012, freezing cold in most parts of the country and here we are pondering spring fashion trends already! Well, that’s the way of the fashion world; new collections are released four to five months ahead of actual deliveries. Just thinking of all the amazing fashions and bright colors coming our way in the next few months gets me all excited about the warmer months; spring and summer also happen to be my favorite seasons of the year. On to trends for spring…
Color trends-
These colors cover a wide spectrum from enticing brights to classic neutrals. The Pantone fashion color report does an amazing job of compiling the most prominent colors of the season based on reoccurring trends on the runways, interviewing designers and fashion industry experts. The names of the colors are creative and pretty descriptive; I have tried to describe them as plainly as possible below-
>(Click on the chart for a larger version)
- Tangerine Tango- a perfect combination of orange and red
- Solar Power- warm vibrant yellow
- Bell flower- muted purple
- Sodalite blue- a classic deep navy blue
- Cabaret- passionate pretty pink
- Margarita- handsome sage green
- Sweet lilac- lilac ( just that)
Stay tuned for Part II, where I share my favorite spring trends and a sneak peak of items you can expect for spring at Ladyee Boutique. I hope your week is going well so far.

I can’t believe how fast the year has flown by! 2011 has and is still an awesome year but I am so looking forward to 2012 and all the exciting blessings and changes God has in store. We have had four events this year. Here are a few photos below (we hope to have better photos in the future)-
Our 2011 shopping event in Lagos, Nigeria was a blast and we absolutely could not have done it without the support of amazing friends, family, fabulous return and new Ladyee customers. We barely had enough time to get all the clothes on the hangers and racks before folks started walking in, it was awesome.
>Cupcakes and dresses in Lagos
In addition, we had three more shopping events in the Atlanta area. It was an absolute blast sharing loads of Ladyee love and we off course enjoyed interacting with all the stylish women who came by to shop with us. A special thanks to my awesome friend Titi (big hug), who literally came to just about all the Ladyee events in Atlanta, baked delicious treats and jumped right in to answer customer questions etc.

We look forward to more shopping events next year and a plethora of awesome changes at the boutique and off course serving you lovely Ladyees. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you so much for all your purchases, emails and comments in general. We strive to continue to bring you feminine, sophisticated, stylish and well made frocks and accessories in 2012. In addition, be sure to take advantage of our additional 10% (use coupon code- thankful) off most items in store if you have not already. Have a fabulously blessed holiday season.

So we have a plethora of affordable and stylish wrap dresses in store. All flattering, cute and a variety of fabrications. I absolutely love the jersey wrap dress by Frenzii in grey, it’s a best seller that has been reordered many times over. It’s styled here with Ankara fabric bangles by Zebra (coming very soon to the boutique.)
This lovely dress also comes in classic black-
If you prefer a print wrap dress, here’s one to consider-
For a more structured wrap dress, this lovely option in navy features feminine breast pockets and a distinct V-Neck-
In addition, these dresses are all affordable at under $100. Don’t forget to use code “thankful” for 10% off your purchase while it lasts.
Stay fab!

Happy Holidays lovelies! I hope your week is coming along well. So I hung out with the lovely girls from Bailey Blue last night, we got together, ate lots of delicious appetizers and worked on yarn wreaths, similar to the ones here.

So many lovely appetizers-
>Fruit, veggies, dips, cheeses, homemade sweet potatoe pie, hot pear cider and ginger ale- Yum!

>Yarn, felt and tubing...
Almost done-
>Finished wrapping the yarn
We were so busy chatting away, I ended up making only two rosettes…lol. We decided to take them home to finish. I’ll stick all the rosettes on tonight and put up a final photo tomorrow.
So that’s what I did last night, it was so much fun and relaxing too. Can’t wait to do it again. Do something fun this week!
Stay Fab!
