Hello everyone! I hope your summer is going very well and more fun than  humid. I have so missed updating and connecting with you all. I apologize for my absence and hope to do better here on out :) .

Fall is right around the corner and I am so excited about all the super wearable (not so minute) trends and colors coming our way. Below are my favorite  fall 2011 trends-

Working Girl/secretary dress- well it is beyond obvious I like dresses, but I especially love timeless and ultra feminine styles. They are flattering on most body types and go seamlessly from the office to a night out.

Lace-  A touch of pretty lace can take a dress from boring to ohlala. I am so glad this trend (classic in my books) is leaping into it’s second fall season in a row. I want all these gorgeous lacey frocks from style maven Jason Wu.

Maxi dresses and skirts- another fabulous “un-trend” (if there is such a word.) There is a perfect maxi dress or skirt for every style and figure. It is also a trend that can be made casual or dressey very easily. Below are a few of of my favorites from Tracy Reese and Marchesa.

Ladylike frocks- I can’t get enough of all the pretty, chic, ultra-feminine dresses that are so off the moment, yes the whole 80’s rocker chic look was fine while it lasted, girly girls rejoice! A select few of my runway favorites from Tracy Reese and Marchesa.

Slim mid calf skirts- with so many amazing prints and fabrications, this super flattering silhouette has made a comeback.

Yves Klein Blue- amongst all the gorgeous hues in store this fall, I adore the richness and intensity of this shade of blue.

Maxi skirts are HUGE this season and such an easy trend to wear by just about anyone. If you’ve ever had any qualms about wearing one, here are a few easy tips to keep in mind-

#1- Proportion – with fuller more voluminous maxi skirts it’s best to go fitted and slimmer on top (a fitted vneck shirt, a fitted buttoned shirt, fitted blouse etc) with more fitted skirt options you can go either way, depends on your comfort level.

#2- Define – If you opt to wear a breezy top with your maxi skirt be sure to belt the top at the waist. You can also add extra definition by adding a belt to your maxi skirt. A maxi skirt with a band at the waist also creates the illusion of a belt.

Here’s how some stylish women wear their maxi skirts-

I love how Delmy wears her Maxi skirt below-

Yay! It’s Friday! Anyone have anything fun planned for the weekend?  I just hope for awesome “warm” weather, it is SPRING after all.

I just read an interesting article on GMA and I think it’s pretty important and worth sharing, click on the link below please-

Be careful what you share via Social Networking .

Much as our awesome online community is filled mostly with well meaning, amazing folks, there are a few not so good eggs out there, so it’s important to be relatively careful.

Now on to my fave part of the blog. Real Style!!

I present my ultra fab  and super close friend Titi (she’s more my sister actually), she’s absolutely gorgeous in the now sold out Frock by Tracy Reese Brenda Sequin dress and patent Louboutins . She looks amazing and to think she’s barely three months post partum (yep, she just had a baby). Love it!

To all you super stylish, professional, hard working, fun loving bachelorettes, chic mums and one of a kind women out there- Happy National Women’s History Month! We literally make the WORLD go round!

The Oscars have come and gone and we’re left with a few note worthy dresses! Here are a few of my red carpet picks-
Sandra Bullock in Marchesa
Sandra Bullock Looked exquisite in Marchesa, her hair and makeup were also beautiful! Something about this dress reminds me a tad of Halle Berry’s 2001 Elie Saab frock.

Zoe Saldana in Givenchy

I also liked Christine Stewart in Monique Lhuillier, Sarah Jessica Parker in Chanel, Demi Moore in Versace, Jennifer Lopez in Armani (although, I would have much preferred it without the extra detail at the hip) Amanda Seyfried in Armani, Miley Cyrus in Jenny Packham (So unexpected!) and Rachel Adams in Elie Saab Couture.

Real Style

I’m sure it’s no secret how much I LOVE real style by now.  Bus is absolutely beautiful in this sold out vintage remake from Stop Staring! She’s such a yummy mummy! BT Real Style- Stop Staring

Have an awesome week dears!
