Happy Thanksgiving! I am so thankful for all you wonderful women who have ever supported Ladyee Boutique in anyway over the past three years. You are absolutely amazing. Thank you.
I am absolutely head over heels for contemporary fashion in African prints. African (Ankara) prints have invaded every nook and cranny of the fashion world, showing up on runways season after season, worn by popular celebrities and becoming a staple in the wardrobes of high street style mavens world wide. Despite being worn by African women for countless years, several amazing contemporary labels have incorporated Ankara prints into their designs in recent years. Everything from dresses, blouses, pants, skirts, bangles, necklaces, hair accessories and purses have been beautifully crafted from these unique fabrics.
Below are some super stylish clothing and accessories from some of my favourite lines-

Happy Spring dear ones. Surely I’m not the only one slightly obsessed with hairbands, bows and pretty hair accessories in general (maybe I am.
> ) I see so many pretty ones and often wonder if I can pull them off effortlessly. I did some searching online and here are a few of my favorite inspirations.

Being a makeup minimalist (mostly cause I’m so challenged when it comes to it’s application), I seldom follow any makeup trends but here’s one I absolutely love and may not be able to resist! I absolutely love the bright lip trend, especially the pink lip. I’ll be trying lip tar in demure by OCC.

I honestly had not planned on putting up another post so soon but I’m so excited I just had to pass this own. So here goes- I’m typically on the computer doing a bunch of research, reading up on fashion happenings, commenting on blogs etc till the wee hours of the AM, it started out as a necessity, since it’s really the only ample amount of time I have to myself (I have a toddler…lol) but it’s fast becoming second nature (not sure how healthy it is…lol.)
Anyhow I was on dear Onada’s photography blog, (Onada also owns a super cute shop called the white dress shop) and she shared two awesome websites!
#1- Thinksplendid.com
#2 Sageweddingpros.com.
You’re probably wondering, what do these seemly wedding pro sites have to do with me (you…lol), fashion etc. Well they are chuck full of motivational posts. I’m especially loving the two posts below-
Being Yourself from Splendid Communications
This spoke volumes to me! As a relatively new business owner, I sometimes find myself wondering if I’m making the right choices or decisions. I’ve had to take a few steps back many a time to make sure I’m staying true to myself and my goals. After all, Being individuals and unique is what makes the world go round.

Myths about being an entrepreneur from Sage Wedding Pros
Yes, I had to come up with some pretty creative measures to get Ladyee Boutique up and going!
No, I’m not backed by bags of money…lol. I do have a super supportive cast though!
Yes, I’m a risk taker. I suppose that requires being somewhat courageous. My faith obviously helps a heck of a lot with this!
I love that both are such short reads but pack a powerful punch. Pass this on, I’m sure it’ll be greatly appreciated. Thanks for sharing Onada!
