I know it’s been a long while. I hope everyone is doing well and truly hope 2014 has been kind so far. It’s been a whirlwind few months for me. I spent most of late last year planning my sister’s wedding and getting our eldest little guy ready for big boy school and right at the end of the year we welcomed a new bundle into our home, yep another sweet baby. It’s been super busy to say the least and have had to do quite a bit of adjusting to my schedule. I am finally getting back in the swing of things and have been working on so many new updates here at Ladyee Boutique. We are bursting at the seams with excitement and can’t wait to share with you. Thank you so much for hanging in and sharing the “Ladyee lifestyle” with us. You are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I hope your summer has been awesome so far. My favorite season of the year is drawing to a close but I am so excited about all the beautiful fall colors and the lovely new frocks we have coming in store. In addition, the must have color for fall is neither drab nor dreary, it’s the ever versatile- BLUE. I especially love cobalt blue. It works on most skin tones and a little pinch in the accessory department is sure to liven up any wardrobe or outfit. Yes, emerald green is still going strong but pretty blues are having a moment.
If blue is not your thing, the good folks at pantone have curated a nice visual of all the “must have” colors for fall. There’s a color for every personality and style.

I hope your week is off to an awesome start. I was having a ho- hum mundane Monday when I got a message followed by a photo of stylish mum of two Monica in the Ladyee Boutique feather print midi dress from a sweet client. This is one of my fave dresses ever, I love the print, the length and it’s just super flattering (thanks to the lovely print, it camouflages any semblance of a tummy.) It’s one of those dresses that spells fashion forward with little effort.
Monica obviously takes the dress to a whole new level with her super chic clutch purse and platforms. Let’s not even begin to discuss her pretty glowy skin. Check out Monica’s blog for stylish tips and more.
Make it a productive week girls!

A little Fourth of July color inspiration:
Hello lovelies- I hope your week is off to an awesome start. There are so many fashion misconceptions out there, in the next few blog posts I’ll discuss three of them.
Most high fashion and runway models look nothing like the real everyday woman, however we live in a culture that constantly sends the message of extreme thinness being the ideal figure and in many cases the only way to guarantee looking stylish in the myriad of seasonal trends we have to sift through. “Your only fashion ideal should be you at your best, dressing your current body stylishly.” Any woman irrespective of size, shape or height can be well dressed. Simply focus on your body as it is now, not 3 months of extreme cardio from now, not ten pounds from now, but right now. This in turn makes it easier to make realistic and flattering wardrobe choices. As cliche as it may sound, the more you embrace your curves and uniquely beautiful imperfections, the more you hone in on what works best for your figure. So make the very best of what you have in the moment.

Have a productive week ahead ladies.
